I know "best one yet" is the meme but holy shit it really was the best one yet.

That was a fun ass game, especially with both teams on back end of B2B. Harden is unreal. Refs continue to suck ass for both teams and try to take over the game with their egos.

Love seein Winslow get the lefty tips from Harden after the game. 2nd favorite player in the league
[–]RocketsbyRockets 121 points 5 hours ago
Winslow attended hardens basketball camps before joining the nba, he’s from Houston
[–]Rocketssplanket 91 points 5 hours ago
Oh I know he's from Houston lol I played high school ball with him
[–]Knicksslyguy183 79 points 5 hours ago
No disrespect, how were the refs bad for the Heat? From what I watched there, these were the missed/bad calls against the Rockets
2 no-calls on Harden stepback 3's with defender under him
goaltend not called on Harden layup that Bam blocked
Ball out of bounds that Bam last touched went to the Heat
PJ Tucker moving screen that Dragic pulled his head on, then immediate ejection on 2 techs
Couple charges that Olynyk drew looked like he slid under the player, feet not set. Kinda ticky tacky but was a huge momentum swing
Harden got a lot of FTs so I can understand why Heat fans would be pissed about that but did I miss anything that was a bad call that went the Rockets way? Legit curious not baiting

Harden said hold up wait a minute, y’all thought I was finished?

He's so good man goddamnit he's so fucking good
[–]Pistonsthrowaway_5256 657 points 6 hours ago
He's seriously one of the best offensive players in NBA history
How many guys could drop almost 60 on great efficiency and dish out 10 assists. Even when you factor pace it's gotta be less than 10 guys
[–]Rocketsthe_yoyo 391 points 6 hours ago
Saw a tweet saying Harden has 7 50 point 10 assist games including the only 60/10 game. No one else in NBA history has more than 3 50/10 games.
[–]Pistonsthrowaway_5256 202 points 5 hours ago
I'm guessing Westbrook has exactly 3? Anybody else with that many?
It's pretty crazy that Harden drops 58/7/10 and it's maybe his 3rd best game ever. Off the top of my head his 60/10/11 game and 53/16/17 were even better. Dude is just insane.

He boomed you, didn’t he?
[–][HOU] Hakeem Olajuwongoat0 227 points 6 hours ago
harden was incredibly gassed in the end. man shot two thirty footers at the end that were short because of how tired he was.
[–]Rocketsbloemy7 278 points 6 hours ago
Amazing. So good. Gordon out, Shumpert out. And Harden steps up. Insane game
[–]Rocketsthe_yoyo 153 points 6 hours ago
Faried out and then Tucker gets ejected
[–]LakersEvanH98 159 points 6 hours ago
I don't know if the Heat just gave up or they didn't foul Harden so he couldnt get 60 lmao
[–]Rocketsbloemy7 100 points 6 hours ago
Great defense by Harden too btw.

Giannis is great and would win most years, but Harden is literally scoring 35 a night and willing Houston to a playoff spot. What an insane season hes having. Literally video game numbers
[–]Timberwolvesmymainaccountiskill 84 points 5 hours ago
While this certainly isn’t a hot take, I think the argument for Giannis is just as good if not better. Harden’s got him in scoring and playmaking, but Giannis is still an elite scorer who doesn’t really have to try and score 30 per night, and is a great playmaker himself. Their efficiency is very similar IIRC. Giannis has a fairly large edge in rebounding and defense. Combine that with team success, and I’d personally go with the Freak. I can understand the argument for either though
[–]Rocketsoldreddit1 104 points 5 hours ago
It's certainly a valid argument. Personally I think it would be nuts to give it to anyone but Harden this year. Highest ppg since MJ, longest streak of 30+ ppg since Wilt, his worst game in the past 35 or so is literally the average of the next closest guy, and the ppg gap is some 30%+. That's just crazy.
I mean if it was 3 or 4 pts difference, that's still absolutely huge but I get it. But it's about 10 pts. And then you add in the assists and the tougher conference, and I find it awfully hard to think of Giannis and PG as just great seasons that should be talked about, but not awarded MVP.

Harden saw the post about the missed threes
Shoutout to the Heat commentating team, so much more unbiased than most of the league
